My defender has been at Waterford for two weeks now with the dreaded "engine knocking noise" syndrome. During this time the dealership have loaned me a Discovery 3 which is mighty nice of them. They also decided to take it upon themselves to fit the modified sump guard which was recalled and put a new hand brake drum which was chattering worse than two old Ladys. Land rover South Africa have sent their technicians out to solve the problem which unfortunately is not 100% solved but were getting there. They think the injectors are faulty. They have been super friendly and informative throughout the entire ordeal.
