More pics of progress
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge As you can see with the help of a local firm we were able to save the VGS side window to get all the old window sealer off, the part was baked at 200 degrees, acid dipped and sand blasted and then re powder coated, it now looks like new again and I can keep the same tinted look across the van. I'm not sure if I have mentioned it but I have a very high pitch squeal from the aux belt due to bad alignment so at some stage I'll have to strip the front down again, not looking forward to that, any suggestions welcome. Going to get all the outstanding electrical works completed over the next week, then put the floors and seat belts in, then MOT time. I'm not going to do the final fitout inside until I've driven it for a while so any gremlins can be ironed out. I've also found out I'd forgotten about the rear central locking when I converted everything else, anyone got a rear door loom including the CL actuator and bracket please.. |

catching the orange paint thru the bonnet intakes is very nice
just watch out for the lightbar and wind noise, I tried the same setup and the whistle was crazy, my plan was to fit some rubber edge trim over the top fin on the back of the lightbar to disrupt the airflow. My goodness, your paintshop knows what they are doing, I’ve never had any luck in that department. Around here all the good ones have disappeared leaving only the accident repair types making their money from shoddy insurance jobs.
Love the bonnet vents too. WARNING. This post may contain sarcasm. |
